About
I am a DPhil student on the Intelligent Earth (AI for the Environment) CDT, researching how machine learning can be used for fine-scale tracking and broader monitoring of animals in the wild, primarily from seismic data. I am based in the Department of Computer Science, and am jointly supervised by Prof. Andrew Markham and A. Prof. Beth Mortimer.
I have a BSc in Physics with Theoretical Physics, and an MSc in Machine Learning for Science from the University of Nottingham, during which I took part in a NERC-funded internship at the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford, using deep learning to study seismic tremor from synthetically generated data. My wider research interest is in developing passive, multi-modal sensing systems that make high-resolution, non-invasive wildlife monitoring possible.
