About

After graduating with a degree in biology in 2017, I gained experience working in research and then in science communication. In 2024, I made the exciting decision to return to the lab to research to the biology of vibration sensing.

My first experience studying animal vibrations was with the Fabre Research Group (University of Cambridge), with a particular focus on the neuronal mechanisms that allow female fruit flies to detect vibratory signals during the courtship ritual. In my current work with the Animal Vibration Lab, I study the physiological and behavioural mechanisms that allow bromeliad spiders to detect prey-generated vibrations.

I maintain an active interest in public engagement and outreach, including working on an exhibition of the Animal Vibration Lab's research to be hosted at the Royal Society in Summer 2025.
