About

Hi there :) I am a geophysicist with a strong background in seismology, data science, and machine learning, with an interest in using seismic methods for environmental and ecological applications as well as geohazard studies. As a visiting scientist at the Animal Vibration Lab, I focus on developing seismic approaches to monitor and protect wildlife through the vibrations generated by their movement. My work integrates geophysics with behavioral ecology, offering a novel, non-invasive method for tracking animal movement and activity in natural habitats alongside camera traps and acoustic sensors. My academic background spans studies in Hamburg, Germany, and Grenoble, France, followed by postdoctoral research at GFZ in Germany. I am passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly at the intersection of geophysics, machine learning, and biology, to advance conservation science and ecological monitoring. My broader research goal is to explore how passive seismic monitoring can enhance conservation efforts, enable long-term wildlife monitoring, and help mitigate human-wildlife conflicts.
