About

I am an interdisciplinary biologist, combining research in animal behaviour, artificial intelligence, biomechanics, and remote sensing to better understand wildlife movement and behaviour. As a Schmidt AI in Science Research Fellow, I am developing non-invasive seismic sensing tools to monitor wildlife through ground vibrations generated by their movements in Kenya. I also focus on how African elephants use seismic vibrations to communicate.

I completed my PhD at the Royal Veterinary College in 2023, where I combined biologging technology with computational modelling to study how migratory zebras navigate between water and grazing grounds in Botswana. I am trained in complex systems and machine learning through an MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems at the University of Sussex and hold a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from the University of Bristol. This interdisciplinary approach continues to shape my research at the intersection of ecology, data science, and emerging technologies.
